AMP 1/32 Hughes TH-55A Osage

1/32 AMP Hughes TH-55A Osage.  This is the first in a collection of models of aircraft I've flown as a pilot. Back in the 80's these were the first helicopters we flew in school. Very rudimentary to include no automatic throttle linkage so you had to adjust your throttle to keep your blades at a certain RPM. Which meant as you pulled collective, you had to add throttle to compensate for the additional drag on the rotors. Same with torque pedals and cyclic. Every action results in a reaction. Modern helicopters do this automatically.

My instructor used to tell me as I tried to kill him during hovering practice that "My wife told me to take out additional life insurance since I took you on.". It was however...a grand time and was amazing to be able to strap these little guys on and go for a spin around the airfield.
